Innovation Day with Software Cornwall
Want to find out about the grant funding and innovation support which could help breathe life into your new digital tech ideas? If so, join us at the Health and Wellbeing Innovation Centre in Truro to learn about the business innovation expertise and grant funding available through the Acceleration Through Innovation programme (ATI).
Taking place on the 7th October, from 10am – 2pm, Software Cornwall members are invited to an exciting and collaborative event between ATI, Cornwall Innovation and Software Cornwall. Set within the impressive glass atrium and overlooking the rolling green fields beyond, Cornwall’s thriving tech community is encouraged to pop along to exchange knowledge, take part in an innovation workshop titled ‘How to successfully communicate your value proposition’ and network with some of the Innovation Centre’s most forward thinking businesses.
The Agenda for the day is as follows:
- 10:00 – Arrival tea/coffee & networking
- 10:20 – Learn about ATI & the innovation grants available
- 10:40 – Find out about the Cornwall Innovation Centres & Formation Zone offering
- 11:00 – Innovation Workshop: How to successfully communicate your value proposition
- 12:00 – Lunch & networking
- 12:30 – Informal drop-in to speak one-to-one with an ATI Business Innovation Advisor or Fund Manager
- 14:00 – Finish
Thanks to Software Cornwall, interactive tech will be provided throughout the day to keep attendees occupied and break the ice during the networking sessions.
How to successfully communicate your value proposition
Are you confident in your ability to persuasively communicate the value of your idea to internal and external stakeholders? Can you succinctly explain your offering to non-experts without getting bogged down trying to explain all the technical jargon? No? Many large companies use intermediaries to communicate their value proposition effectively, but not all small-to-medium sized enterprises can afford that luxury.
This 45 minute workshop is designed to help guide innovators through the various stages of defining your value proposition and ends in the creation of a 90 second elevator pitch. The process will provide attendees with clarity surrounding the true value of their solution and instil the necessary techniques to be able to communicate it successfully.
As a complimentary networking lunch will be provided, to help us with our catering requirements and to reduce any food waste, we ask that attendees book early and let us know if you can no longer make the event.
This event is organised by Acceleration Through Innovation, a University of Plymouth led project, funded by the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) and in Partnership with Cornwall Innovation. The £3 million project aims to support business innovation across Cornwall and Isles of Scilly by helping businesses who are looking to adopt new processes or create new products and services.
