Penzance Pop-up Innovation Centre Celebratory launch event

5 February 2019

On the 7th March, Acceleration Through Innovation (ATI) will be hosting a celebratory breakfast event at their new Pop-up Innovation Centre premises in Penzance. Now based out of 35 Market Place, Penzance, the networking session will commence at 8:30am and give local stakeholders within the town the opportunity to check out the new workspace, as well as introduce them to the support available through the ATI programme.

Having secured the large space in Penzance town, the ATI Pop-up Innovation Centre will provide a flexible business support space offering one-to-one business innovation advice, hot desking and a designated area for meetings and events. The new location is the sixth in a line of successful pop-ups, designed to take the Cornwall Innovation Centre offering out to those eligible small-to-medium sized business based in the harder to reach areas of Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly.

The Penzance Pop-up Innovation Centre is ideal for those businesses looking for space to work remotely, arrange business meetings outside their usual premises and network with other innovators and entrepreneurs. It offers a way of working which “creates a sense of community and often leads to valuable business partnerships, innovative projects and collaborative opportunities”, says Rachel Roach, one of ATI’s Business Innovation Advisors who will be providing one-to-one business support at the Penzance pop-up.

ATI is a three-year £3 million European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) project which aims to support business innovation across Cornwall and Isles of Scilly. Led by the University of Plymouth and in partnership with Cornwall Innovation, the project aims to drive a culture of innovation, supporting businesses who are looking to adopt innovative processes or who aspire to bring new products and services to the market.

Local business people and key stakeholders in the town are encouraged to enjoy this useful resource and make the most of the space which also supplies all the working essentials, such as tea, coffee and free Wi-Fi.
